The song was previously intended to be the second track on Nicki's scrapped 2006 mixtape, A real MC... A real Lyricist... A real talent., however the project along with most songs were ultimately scrapped.

Before the songs release on Playtime Is Over, it was revealed on an Instagram post in June 2020 from Nicki's former friend Loustar that the song made a previous appearance on her scrapped 2006 mixtape A real MC... A real Lyricist... A real talent. It's unknown if this version was any different from the 2007 release, however it didn't feature Ru Spits, making it likely Nicki had another verse in the song.
