"MAMA" is a song by 6ix9ine featuring Nicki Minaj and Kanye West, from his debut studio album, DUMMY BOY. It is one of two appearances both Nicki Minaj and Kanye West make on the tracklist. The song is also one of three collaborations on Tekashi’s debut album with frequent collaborator Murda Beatz, alongside hit single "FEFE" featuring Nicki, and “KANGA” featuring Kanye.

Prior to 6ix9ine revealing the album’s official tracklist on Instagram, both Nicki and Kanye’s presence on the song was confirmed by Don Canon during his Instagram livestream, in which he played the song and cut it off after Nicki’s first line where she mentions Kanye.

The song was initially previewed in an Instagram post made on 6ix9ine's instagram by his team on October 28, 2018.

The song has been certified Gold in the US by Riaa.

Album Release and Music Video Complications

On November 7, 2018, 6ix9ine announced that the Dummy Boy album would be released on November 23, 2018. The album was originally set to be released on November 23, but two days before that date it was announced on 6ix9ine's Instagram that it would be postponed until further notice following his arrest and trial. On November 27, 2018, DJ Akademiks revealed via Twitter that the album would be released on the same day as a result of the early leaking and at the request of 6ix9ine himself.

During the filming of the music video on November 9, 2018, a drive-by dressing room shooting occurred, which brought the entire video shoot to a halt and led to the video being scrapped entirely. The dressing room that was shot at was Nicki's, but the shooters were looking to hit 6ix9ine. The original plan was for 6ix9ine to be in that room, but he decided the day before Nicki should have it. Luckily, Nicki was not there at the time of the shooting but Kanye West was and left immediately after shots rang out.
